Outline
It was a great pleasure to work with John Clarke on his new website. We designed the website to highlight videos and extracts from his projects, sell dvds and books from an online store, and allow him to provide regular updates on his blog. The site makes extensive use of tagging: so that shop items, blog posts and media can be cross referenced to their projects. We worked with Inventive Labs who developed our designs into the final website.

Logo
We designed the logo to highlight the somewhat ironic nature of the website’s name. John’s public persona is very much a larrikin — and it’s a little bit fun to call him by the title of Mister.

Project
John’s body of work is very iconic, so we featured promotional artwork from each project very prominently at the top of relevant pages. Related media and shop items are attached to every project as well.

Shop
The shop is tied into all parts of the website, showing related shop products when you’re in the archive and vice versa.

News
News posts are tagged and cross linked to their parent projects to allow for easy cross navigation of the website.

About
John’s fictional biography is accompanied by a PDF download of his actual CV.

Home
John is known to a number of different audiences who are familiar with specific programs that he has done, so it was important to use promotional photos on the landing page.
