Our name, Something Splendid, is a response to the directive that many clients give designers — that they want ‘Something Pretty’ or ‘Something Cool’. How boring — we’re an enthusiastic duo, and we believe in getting carried away with things. We cut out the logo from black cardboard, shone all manners of light through the stencil, and photographed it with long exposures.
